Rebecca Redmond
Rebecca is the administrative coordinator for the Los Angeles Peer-to-Peer Learning Academy. Rebecca identifies as system-impacted and has worked with formerly incarcerated folks in the RISING program at Santa Monica College and the UCLA Prison Education Program.
Rebecca is the administrative coordinator for the Los Angeles Peer-to-Peer Learning Academy. Rebecca identifies as system-impacted and has worked with formerly incarcerated folks in the RISING program at Santa Monica College and the UCLA Prison Education Program. Rebecca earned her bachelor's degree in African American studies and sociology at UCLA along with a master's degree in social welfare with a concentration in social and economic justice. In addition to working as a macro-level social worker, Rebecca also practices micro-level social work as a mental health clinician.
Rebecca believes that equity in education, safety, and mental health for communities of color will be provided by communities of color.
