Cynthia Alayo serves as the Director of Finance for CBPSC, bringing over 15+ years of extensive experience in finance, management, and operations. In her role, Cynthia oversees financial strategy, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring the organization’s economic health and operational efficiency.  Cynthia has a proven track record of optimizing financial processes and enhancing business performance.  She excels in leading financial administration for both union and non-union employees and driving strategic initiatives that foster organizational growth.  Her expertise extends to strategic financial planning and efficiency. Prior to joining CBPSC, Cynthia held leadership positions where she successfully aligned departmental goals with organizational missions, spearheaded operational improvements, and managed comprehensive financial reporting processes.  She has also served as a board member for several nonprofit organizations, including those focused on women's rights, youth trauma counseling, homeless reduction, and transitional programs from youth to adulthood.  Cynthia is passionate about making a social impact in the community, particularly in the areas of human service and civil rights. Her dedication to servant leadership and empowering teams has consistently resulted in high-performance outcomes. Cynthia is also an active Christian woman and a single mother of two young adult daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys creative writing and design. Fluent in Spanish and proficient in a range of financial and operational software, Cynthia is committed to leveraging her skills to support CBPSC's mission and objectives.
